POSITION                  : TELEPHONE OPERATOR

REPORTING TO        : MANAGER – OUT PATIENT

QUALIFICATION       : GRADUATION IN ANY STREAM

EXPERIENCE            : 1-3 YEARS

DRESS CODE            : SPECIFIED DRESS CODE WITH I.D. CARD

DUTY HOURS            : AS PER SCHEDULED REQUIREMENTS

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Key areas of responsibility:

  1. Answers incoming calls.
  2. Directs call to patients rooms, staff, or departments through the system.
  3. Places outgoing calls.
  4. Monitor automated systems for placing collect calls and intervene for a callers needing assistance.
  5. Provides information about hospital services to concerned person.
  6. To answer queries of patient and provide details about the Doctors and Hospitals. 
  7. Must be polite and courteous while answering the phone.
  8. To deal with the people who call at the hospital and solve their queries.
  9. To give priority to emergency call and to co-ordinate with the consultants / respective department for the same.
  10. To treat all communication about patients, staff, and other organizational business confidentially.
  11. To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.
  12. To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
  13. Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement.
