JOB DESCRIPTION

Key areas of responsibility:

1. To provide expert consultation and manage all patients related to Urological disorders.
2. Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the urogenital system.
3. Should be willing to work in a multi disciplinary team.
4. Understand responsibility pertaining to hospital codes.
5. Must be familiar with NABH standards, protocols and documentation process.
6. Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.
7. Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery.
8. Direct the work of nurses, residents, or other staff to provide patient care and be a partner in their ongoing training.
9. Provide urology consultation to physicians or other health care professionals.
10. Document or review patients' histories.
11. Diagnose or treat diseases or disorder of genitourinary organs and tracts including erectile dysfunction.
12. Observing and monitoring patients during surgery.
13. Resuscitating and stabilizing patients in the emergency department
14. To be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the Emergency Department.
15. To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. Nurses, Technicians & Resident Doctors.
16. To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices, familiar with NABH protocols.
17. To comply with patient safety policy
18. To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system
19. To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.
20. To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
21. Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement
