About Dr. Debashis Deb

Dr. Debashis Deb is a Senior Consultant Minimal Invasive Surgery Department in RG Hospitals, Dhakuria, Kolkata. He did his MBBS in 1983, at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh and MS (General Surgery) in 1993, at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, Guwahati.

He has more than 25 years of experience, apart from advanced laparoscopic surgeries, including colorectal, bariatric, and complex abdominal wall reconstructions for hernias, he has also added Laser surgery to his oeuvre.

He has presented a paper on sphincter-preserving surgery for low rectal cancers, which so far forced the patients to remain lifelong on permanent colostomy. 
Besides, he has a keen interest in oncological surgery and regularly performs surgery for pancreatic-biliary, oesophageal, thyroid, breast and oral cancers along with different flap reconstructions.
