The Father of Lithotripsy in India, Dr. Bhim Sen Bansal, introduced lithotripsy in India in 1987. Born in 1935 in Delhi, he completed MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur and FCGP from Delhi. In 1958, he started as a family physician and today he runs a successful chain of 11 super specialty urology centres known as RG Stone Hospital.

Dr. Bansal's personal attributes of understanding the current urological scene, quick analysis, bold decision making and creating teams to disseminate the brand 'RG Stone' were integral to this success and popularity of the group.

My vision since beginning was Minimal Bleeding in patients, no blood transfusion, and no long stays in hospitals. Minimal Access Surgery, presently the gold standard for most surgeries is a safer procedure for high-risk patients with diabetes, hypertension, heart problems etc.
